Dice Experiment

We continued our probability unit with an experiment by calculating the sum of 2 dice.  We found the probability of getting each sum: 2-12.  We then had ten different groups roll 36 times and record their data.  No group had data that closely resembled what was expected, but as a whole class we were much closer to the expected probability.

5.8 Test Corrections

The test on division with decimal remainders went ok with only 2 students in the class received a 100%.  Students worked on corrections and got them checked.  On Wednesday students will have the opportunity to retake the portions of the test they got wrong.  They will be given new problems that are similar to the ones they got incorrect the first time around.  Anything they get correct will be added to their original test score.
